Alpha-Ease ® Hema/Gluteraldehyde desensitizer for use on sensitive cavity preparations prior to the application of restorative material.

Product Details:

  • Provides a physiologic seal within the dentinal tubules by polymerization with the proteins in the tubules.
  • Material provides virtually immediate relief from pain caused by hypersensitivity.
  • Formulated with an antimicrobial to prevent micro-leakage.
  • Includes: (1) 7 mL bottle.

Indications for Use of Provisional Material:

  • Under any indirect resin-bonded inlay, onlay, crown, or veneer.
  • Under amalgam and composite restorations.
  • In conjunction with other dentin bonding adhesives.

Instructions for Use (link):

  1. Isolate the tooth using a rubber dam.
  2. Prepare and clean dentin surfaces. Dentin surface does NOT need to be completely dry. A slightly moist surface will work.
  3. Apply Alpha-Ease desensitizer with a brush or applicator. A gentle rubbin motion for 10 seconds will assist the delivery of the desensitizer into the dentinal tubules.
  4. Allow material to remain for 30 to 60 seconds.
  5. Dry the surface carefully by applying a stream of compressed air until the fluid film has disappeared and the surface isn't shiny.
  6. Repeat application if sensitivity recurs or persists.
