Lens shield is compatible with the Pelton and Crane LF-II operating light. Two-piece lens shield made of high grade Lexan construction.

Installation Instructions of Lens Shield:

  1. First, turn operating light off. Light can be hot if it has been in use.
  2. Locate lock pin on dental light head and push down, so the light head opens.
  3. Pinch the lens shield on either side and lift out.
  4. When preparing the new lens shield, make sure to remove the protective film on both sides of the shield.
  5. When lens shield is ready to be installed, put flat end in first and press sides into place.
  6. Repeat step 5 for second part of the lens shield.
  7. Lastly, close the light head and reinsert locking pin.

Pelton & Crane Lens Shield

The shield fits tightly, but they start to crack after a few months.

We are sorry to hear that. If you used any kind of alcohol cleaner on it or if you don't let it cool down before cleaning, cracking will happen. We suggest barriers to prevent that from happening in the future. If you give us a call, we can offer you a one time replacement.
